Madeline was wonderful. And I knew she was. And I knew that the problems that they had were problems that you just have with talents like Madeline. She’s a very sensitive and shy kind of person, and… I didn’t think that they had handled her right… They didn’t treat her like the star that she deserved to be treated like. That’s what I think…
I never recovered, quite, from the loss of Madeline. I mean, Judy was wonderful, but Madeline had… the magic of Madeline Kahn. And it’s just too bad that more people didn’t get a chance to see it.“
